Hopeful that even though I've picked a major featuring International Communications with English Literature; that it would not lead me down a narrow untrod path to an abandoned fortress of decaying leaves and animal skeletons, but instead to another dimension; a Jurassic Park of awe that would inevitably with more sweet wine glasses filled with hope widen that moss filled path with more foot prints.
The purpose of my blog is to remind people not to give into practicality and the norm without having at least attempted diving into a puddle rather than an ocean and treading a footpath rather than taking the highway.
If you seem wiser than me I assume you've already arrived to the conclusion that I live in a bubble and won't learn how selfish, competitive and corrupt the outside world is until this bubble stops floating in the air with a burst.
But I am aware, I am aware that as I type this I would have been way better off instead if I had started some law degree and done what is practical- after all living in a third world country thrusts the NEED to find a good job that pays the bills.
I'm not a wishful thinker and would not consider myself impractical either - the difference between my point of view and the majority is that my method is untouched, risky, requiring the full works of laying the foundation, making red brick walls with cement, putting up a roof , ensuring electricity, water and finally the painting and polishing.*sigh. Time consuming- but that's it!

Still think I'm a wishful thinker? Maybe, young and naive?
So were the Wright brothers (They wanted to fly! -_-),Graham Bell, Shahrukh Khan, Mahatma Gandhi, Salvador Dali, Garcia Lorca (And the list can go on!!!) all great people in different fields; solely not due to having had followed the norm but what they truly believed in and what they wanted to live by.

I'm not discouraging the mainstream; I'm only trying my best to encourage you to follow your passion and not let it be buried under what we ourselves have falsely tagged as "realistic & practical".
I shall conclude this post with a quote I constantly look at to remind myself to keep indulging in and following my dreams and what I'm passionate about; and I really hope that you too would tread along to what makes you content.
" I took the road less traveled and that made all the difference" - Robert Frost .
P.S- drop your thoughts.
