In the spotlight, center stage,
a standing ovation
but I only gaze.
smiling, waving,
taking my final bow,
I say good night now.
Go home
Rest
Wake up
Get ready for another.
Me, Myself and I,
A comic tragedy,
somewhat like the Greeks
though not the slapstick type -
a simplistic heart breaking
tragedy.
Featuring the self,
me - and of course,
I.
It's a drag
this show.
and I'm tired of acting,
but my make up stays
and my gown always ready
and again, I stand center stage
talking to a silent audience
going through my
talking to a silent audience
going through my
rising action,
climax,
falling action
& sometimes, a conclusion.
But if I'm lucky,
we're standing center stage,
where we take our bow-
to claps and choruses of cheers.
We smile back at a spotlight,
and exit,
Me, Myself & I.
we're standing center stage,
where we take our bow-
to claps and choruses of cheers.
We smile back at a spotlight,
and exit,
Me, Myself & I.
